There is only one true God. He is the Creator and Lord of all that exists. He is the co-eternal Trinity; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life on this earth. He was crucified on a Roman cross as the substitute for the sin of mankind. He physically rose from the dead and ascended to heaven where he now lives and prays for us. Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man.
The Bible is God's authoritative and inspired Word. It is without error in all its teachings, including creation, history, its own origins, and salvation. Christians must submit to its divine authority, both individually and corporately, in all matters of belief and conduct, which is demonstrated by obedience and true righteous living. True Christians want to submit to the Bible and obey God because the Holy Spirit lives in them.
All people are lost sinners and cannot enter the Kingdom of God except through the new birth. The new birth comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. He is the only way to God. Good works can never make someone acceptable to God. We are fully dependent on God for both justification and sanctification.
There is one holy, universal, and apostolic Church. Its calling is to worship and follow Jesus Christ whole heartedly by living out the command to love God and love others. The mission of the church is to preach the Gospel among all nations, to promote righteousness and to love all human beings through compassionate service. The church is a spiritual community where people profoundly connect with God and each other by making Jesus Christ the center and treasure of their lives.
We are utterly dependent upon the work of the Holy Spirit for the individual's new birth and maturity, and for the Church's constant renewal in truth, wisdom, faith, holiness, love, power, and mission. The resources of the New Covenant provide salvation and empower personal growth and fruitfulness.
